Cockapoo Collar Buying Guide
Leather or material? This all depends on what you favour and it’s important you get the right collar for your cockapoo. Some materials may irritate your dog’s skin. We personally use a leather collar and we have never had any issues with our dog’s skin. If your dog collars are irritating your dog’s skin then it could be worth getting veterinary advice.
Harness or collar?
We personally own both. The collar stays on all the time no matter what. When she is off for a walk we pop the harness on over the collar. That way if she ever slipped out of the harness she is always wearing the collar. If your dog is a bigger breed then a harness might work better.
What Size Collar For A Cockapoo Puppy?
Cockapoos are all different sizes and the easiest way to find out what size you need is to take your puppy into a pet shop and try a few on.
What Is A Cockapoos Neck Size?
The average size for a cockapoos neck is 25-41cm or 10-16 inches.
Cockapoos are lively, energetic dogs, so you need the best cockapoo collar that allows you to walk your dog safely and securely. But it’s also imperative that the collar you choose fits your Cockapoo correctly and doesn’t hurt or make your cockapoo uncomfortable.
We’re confident that choosing one of the best cockapoo collars from the above guide will satisfy all the essential requirements. However, we do realise that a dog collar for cockapoos might not be right for all dogs or dog owners and therefore it’s worth checking out if a dog harness is the better option.
